Since joining the Asia – Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in 2008, Vietnam has become attractive for various business travelers with an APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC). The ABTC holder can enjoy various benefits entering Vietnam. This article will provide you with full and update information about this.
What is APEC Business Travel Card?
APEC – Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation defines APEC Business Travel Card (also known as an ABTC) as a card issued to eligible business travelers and senior Government officials within the APEC region, making it easier for the holders to travel in and out of other APEC card countries.
What are benefits of entering Vietnam with an ABTC?
If you hold an ABTC, you can visit and stay in Vietnam without a Vietnam visa for up to 60 days. Besides, as a holder of APEC Business Travel Card, you are also eligible for an Immigration fast track into Vietnam.
Can stay duration in Vietnam be extended with APEC Business Travel Card?
If you enter Vietnam with the ABTC, and your stay duration in Vietnam with 60-day free under your ABTC is about to expire, and you want to remain in the country afterwards, you should extend your stay permit right in Vietnam. Please be noted that each extension can be valid for up to 3 months, and the total time of your stay is less than 9 months.
